So the big news broke on Friday that Jay Electronica (Who along with Freddie Gibbs, made 2010 a year of solid underground singles) eschews Diddy's Bad Boy Label for the Roc. First of all, who can blame him? Diddy would be a great mentor BUT he hasn't necessarily grown his artists the way Jay Z has. I couldn't bear to hear Jay E on a Dirty Money Remix, but Rihanna on a hook might work for the underground lyrical savior. Maybe he could even hook a collab for babymoms Erykah with Jay and himself for one BIG single?? I, for one, am excited to hear more from Jay E, his verses captivated me for most of 2010 and the Roc will be a good home for him. Jay-Z, don't mess this up LOL.
