Today at the NAMM Convention and online, Rane officially announced it's new produce The Rane Sixy-Eight. The big news is that Serato buffs will be able to use 4 decks, creating four channel mixes, and enabling much simpler swap outs between dj's. There are two USB ports on the back of the mixer so two computers can be attached simutaneously.  The mixer is slightly reminiscent of the Pioneer M800 which a lot of my friends prefer. The FX processor on the 68 looks a lot more user friendly and intensive (including a rotating button dedicated to EQ. Here's hoping that they make multiple decks available for the 57sl and the SL3 Users!

Goldfrapp Announces New Album

Mute Records has announced that the fifth album by Alison and Will Gregory, Head First, will be released on March 23rd, with the first single, “Rocket” out March 9th. 2007’s Seventh Tree found the duo departing from their glammed-up past to a more delicate and organic fairytale sound. Head First promises a “speedy rush of synth optimism, euphoria, fantasy and romance.” Almost as exciting as the is the series of highly stylized photos that inevitably accompany a release.

Super-Fight Between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao Nearly Finalized

It looks like the boxing mega-fight between Filipino superstar Manny Pacquaio and Floyd Mayweather Jr. is getting closer to becoming a reality.

Mayweather commented on a possible fight last month -- following Pac-Man's dominating win over Miguel Cotto -- saying that all Pacquiao had to do to get a shot was step up and say it. Well, Manny did, and talks have begun ... says reports.

According to the L.A. Times, Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum flew to the Philippines on Tuesday (December 1) to discuss a possible meeting between the two boxers in the near future.

nA unidentified source told the paper that Mayweather has already agreed to some contractual details. However, further info was not revealed.

"I'm going over there to figure it out," Arum told The Times just before departing. "Everything."

Arum reportedly spent much of Tuesday resolving issues during negotiations with Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, who represents Mayweather, before taking off for the Philippines.

He is expected back on Monday (December 7).

This Weekend, one of our faves, had his car windows smashed out and his Tables were stolen. If anyone has any info on the whereabouts of this equipment, please post a comment here or send an email to the contact email below:

(2) technic 1200's, one with clear rca cables, one with regular rca's, one with a missing tonearm clip with a black rubber band securing the tonearm.  both decks are in black carpeted flight cases.  the mixer is a mint condition silver djm 700 in a regular odyssey mixer flight case.  the sub was a brand new qsc 18" powered sub.  perfect condition except for a few glass rings from glasses and beer bottles on top.
If anyone tries to sell you any of this equipment don't hesitate to give my number/info to them and we will sort it out the old fashioned way... nuff respect, Stew!
