Sister Nancy, aka Muma Nancy, real name Ophlin Russell-Myers, (born Ophlin Russell, 2 January 1962, Kingston, Jamaica) is a dancehall DJ and singer. She is known to the world as the first female dancehall DJ and was described as being a "dominating female voice for over two decades" on the dancehall scene. One of her most famous songs is "Bam Bam", labeled as a "well-known reggae anthem" by BBC and a "classic" by The Observer
In 2001, Canadian/American producer Krinjah re-mixed "Bam Bam", creating one of the most-sought after 12" vinyls and arguably kicking off the ragga-jungle revival in North America. In 2004, she collaborated with DJ /rupture and Kid 606 on the "Little More Oil" single, and in 2006, she collaborated with Thievery Corporation on their 2006 compilation Versions, on the track "Originality".
In 2006, Canadian producer RCola brought Sister Nancy into Liondub's studio to re-sing her classic "Bam Bam", eventually releasing his Drum and Bass dancefloor remix on 12" vinyl with Division One remix on the AA side. In 2007, Sister Nancy voiced a dubplate of her "Bam Bam" with new lyrics for Atlanta ragga/drum and bass dj Tester.
Compton rapper Guerilla Black sampled "Bam Bam" in his "Compton" song. "Bam Bam" was also featured in Electronic Arts video game Skate and in the soundtrack for the movie Belly.

Moss Raxlen aka Mossman (Montreal, QB CA) - Dub Specialist makes his Indianapolis Debut. Moss has toured the world with the likes of Sister Nancy, Stranger Cole, and Marcia Griffiths. Hailing from Montreal, QB, Moss' is widely hailed as Canada's most in demand Roots Reggae Selectah.

Indianapolis' Own Reggae Star On The Rise, Rasta Zilion
Rasta Zilion has been bubbling on the scene in Indianapolis for a few years now and has recently relocated to Westmoreland JA to focus on his music. He has shared the stage with Mykal Rose, Vybez Kartel, among others. His sound is modern but his love of Culture shows through in all of Zilion's works. Big Up Zilly Tribe!

FREDDIE GIBBS TO TOUR MIDWEST THIS JANUARY IN SUPPORT OF STR8 KILLA EP
Freddie Gibbs, the preeminent MC from Gary, Indiana, has announced a Midwestern headlining jaunt this winter, delivering songs from his numerous mixtapes as well as the Str8Killa EP that dropped on Decon this August. Freddie has spent a great deal of 2010 in the studio while making one-off appearances on stages in every corner of the country and is primed to devastate audiences with his razor sharp delivery.
A Midwest native, Freddie Gibbs appeared on the national radar with the release of The Miseducation of Freddie Gibbs and Midwestgangstaboxframecadillac
Freddie’s incomparable crowd control is a sight to witness. A haze of thick smoke hangs above the stage as he rides the booming low end and skittering hi-hats of internet hits such as “The Ghetto” and “National Anthem”, both of which have also seen video spins on MTV. Backed by a colorful supporting entourage, Freddie holds audiences captive in the palm of his free hand while wielding the microphone and coaxing the crowd into a frenzied sea of waving hands and nodding heads.
“Freddie Gibbs is the one rapper I would put money on right now.” - Sasha Frere Jones for THE NEW YORKER
“His is sleeves-rolled-up, steak-and-potatoes rap, speedily delivered and so lean and direct that he’s been able to make believers out of anyone hungry for a new American narrative” - THE FADER

Just Announced - Camp Lo LIve In Indy!!!

BIO:
Camp Lo is an american hip hop duo, formed in 1995, which hails from The Bronx, New York. The duo consists of rappers Sonny Cheeba (Salahadeen Wilds) and Geechi Suede (Saladine Wallace), both of Muslim upbringing
Initially signed with Profile Records, Camp Lo made their first appearance in 1996 on The Great White Hype soundtrack, with their single "Coolie High". The smooth party song was a minor hit, peaking at #25 on the Billboard Hot Rap Singles chart. Their first major exposure came with the release of their second single, the upbeat, horn driven "Luchini", otherwise known as "This Is It". The song became a crossover hit in 1997, breaking into the top 50 on the Billboard Hot 100, and reaching the top 5 on the Hot Rap Singles chart. The duo released their debut album Uptown Saturday Night in January 1997. The effort was widely acclaimed, praised for its accessible content and smooth, funk and jazz inspired production.
The majority of the album was produced by Ski, famous for his work with Jay-Z. Guest appearances were provided by De La Soul's Trugoy and Digable Planets' Butterfly. The album's 70s-style content was influential on a number of artists within the next few years after its release, like Will Smith, who enlisted Camp Lo for an appearance on his top-selling Big Willie Style album. Also in 1997, they appeared on Oran "Juice" Jones' single "Poppin' That Fly". They collaborated with Hip Hop legends De La Soul in 2000, on the song "So Good" from the Hip Hop 101 Compilation. They finally returned with another album in 2002, titled Let's Do It Again. This effort was not nearly as well-received as their debut, and was met with mediocre reviews and sales. Shortly after the album's release, Aesop Rock enlisted the duo to appear on his album Bazooka Tooth, exposing them to fans of the underground Definitive Jux label. In summer 2007 the duo returned with Black Hollywood after a five year hiatus from their previous release. In April 2008 Camp Lo signed with SRC/ Universal Records. They have changed their name to The Lo. This name change was a recommendation from NYC's Hot 97 DJ Mr. Cee. He suggested that this would assist the guys in reintroducing themselves to the mainstream. The duo released a new single titled "Lumdi"[2], produced by Korleon[3] and co-produced by The Apple Juice Kid[4].
On March 24, 2009, Camp lo's highly anticipated CD, Stone & Rob: Caught on Tape, was released. The album featured Brooklyn, NY singer, Yazarah, and was produced by Apple Juice Kid and Rob Chaseman.

BIO:
Born and bred in Massillon, a small town in the working class state of Ohio, a young Kyle Myricks learned the value of blue collar work ethic at a young age. Kyle earned his nickname, the Stallion, because of the grit and determination that characterized his youthful athleticism. This same grit typifies his hometown of Massillon, a small city known for its steel mills and classic American feel. Over the years, Stallion would be shortened to Stalley, and Stalley would physically leave Massillon to pursue music in Brooklyn, New York, but Massillon is never far behind Stalley. Stalley embodies Massillon by emphasizing hard work, classic style and vivid depictions of his life’s journey in his colorful, timeless music.
In 2008, Stalley made his mixtape debut, “Goin Ape”, with fellow Ohio-native Terry Urban and 2009 saw Stalley release the follow-up “MadStalley: The Autobiography” to critical acclaim. During this time period, Stalley also built a reputation as a force on stage, opening for hip hop heavyweights such as KRS-One, Ghostface Killah, Styles P., Method Man & Redman, Jay Electronica, Mos Def and being featured on select dates on the Rock the Bells and Sneaker Pimps tours, as well as performing several shows at the 2010 South by Southwest Festival and headlining shows in Columbus, Ohio, New York City and New Orleans. Stalley recently performed live at MTV Studios. Stalley has aligned himself with a variety of brands including Creative Control, Adidas, Schott, LRG, Nixon, 10Deep, Huf, ALIFE, Mishka, Billionaire Boys Club and Play Cloths. On the music tip, Stalley is featured on Curren$y’s forthcoming Universal/Def Jam release “Pilot Talk”. As a solo artist, Stalley is heavily featured on Ski Beatz upcoming Universal/Def Jam release 24 Hour Karate School project and plans to complete projects with Ski as well as Producer Rashad from the 3rd in the coming year. His videos “We Can Do It Big” with the Cool Kids and “Address” with Curren$y, are currently in rotation on MTV2, MTV Jams, VH1 Soul, MTVu and HavocTV. Stalley has an on-going web-based TV series called “The Milq” with Creative Control. Stalley is also a guest blogger on the lifestyle website High Snobiety and was selected to blog for Slam Magazine’s website as well. Stalley will be featured in the television commercial for Def Jam’s “Rap Star”, a video game that will be released in the coming
months.

DJ Terry Urban

Terry Urban is an American DJ and mixtape composer. He currently resides in New York City and is originally from Cleveland. He is a former semi-pro skate boarder and graffiti artist.
BIO:
Terry Urban (yes, that is his real name) has been making waves throughout the global DJ and mixtape circuit since he burst onto the scene. From Hong Kong to Houston, Terry has smashed clubs worldwide, and his now infamous mixtapes and mash-ups have received accolades from such greats as Coldplay and Jay-Z.
The diverse nature of Terry’s craft lies beyond music and in the greater world of art and culture. Terry’s semi-pro skating stint, art school and graffiti background (his work has been featured in Beautiful Decay & Scribble Jam) influence his sound and can be heard through out his eclectic mixes that blend hip hop with punk with electro with rock. This flexibility has major corporations and records labels clamoring for him, such as Nike, Grey Goose and Def Jam Records, and has garnered the appreciation of celebrity fans, like LeBron James, P. Diddy and Kanye West.
If you have a pulse, you can find Terry Urban. As co-host of “The Press Play Show” (with his longtime DJ partner, Mick Boogie) on Sirius Radio, he directly connects with global listeners on a weekly basis. As a New York resident, Terry rocks the crowd at the city's best nightlife establishments, as well as monthly parties across the country. He continues to produce the most critically acclaimed mixtapes in the world (just ask Rolling Stone, Complex and The Fader magazines) and host tapes for the best up-and-coming artists today.
Like the tattoos on his arms, Terry Urban has engrained himself into the very being of today's culture. He brings true artistry to every performance and ensures that every party is properly rocked. Just ask for him by name: Terry Urban.
Terry Urban has released mixtapes with Mick Boogie, including "Unbelievable" (tribute to The Notorious B.I.G., hosted by P. Diddy), "The Graduate (hosted by Kanye West) and Viva La Hova,[1] which mashed up Jay-Z and Coldplay[1]. He released "Southerngold" [2] in 2009 which mixed Santigold with music by contemporary southern rappers. The mixtape drew legal attention from Santigold's record label in the form of a cease and desist later. [2]. The mixtape album "Lady Stardust" put Lady Gaga songs together with David Bowie tracks [3]
